Tom Dority, Senior Vice President - Emeritus
Mr. Dority is a career city manager with over 25 years experience in public policy development, finance, budgeting, employee relations and management of public safety, public works and community development. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Michigan City Management Association. He was previously associated with the Institute for Community and Regional Development for City Council goal-setting and taught a graduate seminar in local government administration at Eastern and Western Michigan Universities. He has published articles in municipal publications. Mr. Dority is a past member of the Boards of the Michigan Association of Community Arts Agencies and the Museum Associates of Michigan State University.
Mr. Dority manages our Michigan and Colorado offices. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado in 1971 and a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, from the University of California in 1966. He was City Manager in East Lansing, Michigan for ten years and in Oxford, Ohio for five years. Mr. Dority served as a consultant to Ohio municipalities with Deloitte Haskins Sells and held top City and County positions in Finance, Human Resources and general management in Colorado and Oregon. He served with the U.S. Air Force in Southeast Asia.
